Many of our clients rely on us for fish tank cleaning in the Garden Home-Whitford neighborhood in southwest Portland for the same reasons that we’ve become the preferred Portland aquarium services company: we show up when we say we’re going to, we solve problems for our clients, we are courteous and professional while we work, and we deliver results, not excuses. There are other tropical fish tank maintenance companies in the Portland area, but none can compare to Aquarium Services of Oregon, for the following reasons:
- Attention to detail – When caring for aquatic living systems, it is essential to have “patient eyes,’ while cleaning fish tanks, life support systems, feeding tropical fish, etc. Taking the time to notice the little things that can quickly become major health concerns is a huge part of aquatic animal health and maintaining life support systems. A small change in an animal’s food response can be anomalous or an early sign of a serious health condition. A change in the pitch of water moving through a system can mean nothing or the first sign of a malfunctioning life support component. There are many more examples we could provide, but we pay attention to everything we do.
- Deep understanding of Aquarium Science – The owner of our Garden Home-Whitford fish tank service has a technical degree in Aquarium Science, as do most of our staff members. That means that each of us fully understands the sciences of successful aquarium keeping and the best ways to proactively manage the health of these living systems and all the animals living in them. We’re happy to discuss these sciences with our clients, but be warned – we love talking about this stuff and will get into the details and take you with us. But only if you want us to!
- Depth and breadth of professional experience – For more than ten years of providing aquarium care in Garden Home-Whitford and most every other Portland neighborhood, we’ve worked with coral reef systems, temperate jellyfish systems, freshwater fish tanks, tropical marine fish tanks, planted freshwater aquariums, and virtually every other kind of aquatic system. From caring for 20-gallon tanks in a child’s bedroom to much larger fish tanks hundreds or thousands of gallons in volume, we’ve done it all, and continue to do it every day.
- Exceptional care and consideration of our clients’ homes and businesses – We excel at providing our aquarium cleaning and system maintenance services quickly, quietly, carefully, and conscientiously. We may be fish tank service professionals, but we’re also guests in the homes and businesses we serve, and we conduct ourselves accordingly.
We love what we do – Cleaning fish tanks is hard, physical work. Lugging heavy buckets of water everywhere, carrying our cleaning tools in and out of each location, scrubbing algae on aquarium surfaces, and many other aspects of what we do isn’t easy. What makes it easier for us is the joy of solving problems for clients and performing the services we’ve worked hard to learn, and making our technical expertise available to them when they have questions.
